【Advanced TESOL certificate】

The TESOL program consists of

• 35hs In-class course
• 30hours Oxford Teachers' Academy Online course (Either Teaching Young Learners or teaching Adolescents)
• 15hrs Classroom observation
• 30hrs TKT preparation

【Advanced TESOL course structure】

• 35hour In-class course: Learn how to teach English to different ages and levels, develop better teaching skills. Skills include:
  • the principles which modern language teaching is based on.
  • methodologies for specific teaching objectives.
  • what phonetics and phonology are and how language is acquired.
  • how to use aids to teach English in class
  • how to design lesson plans and manage the class.
  • how to evaluate the outcome from the class
• Oxford Teachers' Academy Online course training: TESOL trainees can choose either Teaching Young Learners or Teaching Adolescents. These courses focus on specific teaching theories and offer creative teaching strategies tailored for each age group
• Classroom observation: Tesoltaiwan offers observation of English classes to enhance your understanding of classroom management
• Teaching Knowledge Test preparation

• Tesoltaiwan provides highly qualified and experienced TESOL trainers whose goal is to effectively teach you how to become a professional ESL/EFL teacher.
• We guarantee class size of 6 to 12 people.
• All TESOL trainers are native English speakers with an MA degree or higher and a TESOL certification
• Practical teaching practice integrated into each class

Award

Candidate will be awarded with an OTA (Oxford Teachers’ Academy) for completion of the online portion and an American TESOL Institute Advanced TESOL Certification after completion of the in-class portion of the course.

【Entry requirements and procedures】

All candidates for the courses must meet the following requirements:

• We accept all native English speakers with high school diplomas or other advanced degrees. Non-native speakers may be accepted as well, provided they have a TOEFL score of 90or IELTS band score of 6.0or above.
• A face-to-face or phone interview will also be carried out with a qualified trainer from CIEI TESOL to assess a candidate's overall English ability.
